HOW WE CAN HALT THE CIPRO AND LEVAQUIN CATASTROPHE: THE GREATEST MEDICATION DISASTER IN U.S. HISTORY. DR. COHEN'S NEW UPCOMING BOOK ON THE FLUOROQUINOLONE DISASTER
This book, which many consider the best of Dr. Cohen's 12 published books, is expected out by late October. Meanwhile, Dr. Cohen will publish a chapter every 7-10 days at this website until the complete book is available (paperback, ebook).
This breakthrough book describes the 28-year calamity caused by fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Cipro, Levaquin, and 4 others), and why it has persisted for so long. And beyond any other written account, for the first time Dr. Cohen will also offer solid, evidence-based ideas for preventing the terrible reactions (fluoroquinolone toxicity syndrome, FTS) that still occur with these antibiotics in adults, seniors, and children. More than any with other medication, the FDA has confirmed over 50,000 cases of FTS, and RxISK.org has tallied 79,000 cases with Cipro alone.
Equally important, Dr. Cohen's book concludes with solid ideas that may help the terribly injured to heal. And Dr. Cohen also offers a series of initiatives that must be introduced in order for us to change the medication-pharmaceutical system and to create a National Medication Safety Board that can be stronger and faster than the FDA in protecting patients. Unlike our FDA, a NMSB can assure that physicians use medications safety and effectively, and within strong national guidelines.
